Hash Brown Nests

Golden and crispy, these hash brown nests are baked into charming little cups that make the perfect vessel for eggs or savoury dips. Easy to prepare and full of flavour, they add a warm, satisfying touch to any spring brunch spread.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE NESTS:
  • 4 cups of Refrigerated Shredded Potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Olive Oil Spray
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

  • OPTIONAL FILLINGS:
  • Hummus
  • Onion Dip
  • Tzatziki
  • Carrots, Cucumbers, Radishes, Bell Peppers, sliced

Method

  • Preheat oven to 190°C. Spray a muffin tin with oil or non-stick spray.
  • Combine potato shreds with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Evenly distribute potato mixture in muffin tins and press the mixture in the middle using a spoon so that it forms a nest.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes or until its golden brown with crisp edges.
  • Add your favorite dips and veggies to the nest for a fun presentation, or make these into a meal by filling the nests with eggs prepared how you like them!
